5 Months

Life has been so busy I missed the Twinkies five month update!

Sophia:
Rolling all over the place, now sleeps on her stomach and gets really mad when her binky falls out. Loves to have all of the attention on her and is much more fussy than Hannah!Very smiley and starting to giggle some. Kind of likes cereal, but still not sure. Very into her hands and now toes.

Hannah:
Still my very happy, very content baby. Always happy, smiley and giggling. Good sleeper and just all around very sweet baby. Rolling all over the place too, but a side sleeper. Hates cereal and is not all interested in the whole eating thing.

Both girls are sleeping great, knock on wood, and usually go down about 7:30 and sleep anywhere from 6 to 7 am! They are still teething and have had horrible diapers and rashes for the past few weeks now. Olivia was the same way so I am waiting for those bottom teeth to appear. Their bottom gums are so swollen and those teeth are so close!

They are in size 2 diapers, starting to get into 3-6 month clothes, but sleepers 6 months because of their feet. They are eating every 3 hours still, and take about 6oz. I am still nursing, but not as much. I know, I never thought I would make it this far, but I still produce so much milk. I am very blessed and lucky, but have to admit I am more than ready to be done. They are very distracted when nursing now and do better with a bottle. I am trying to figure out how to diminish my supply, but that is proving to be a task.

The routine is getting better and it is hard to believe that they are nearly six months old.  I am trying to get them on a nap schedule in their cribs, which is getting better, but they still cat nap so hoping that gets better soon. I still have several moments when I am just completely overwhelmed with all three by myself, but I just take a deep breathe and try to be thankful for my girls and my life. I won't lie, some days are REALLY challenging!

Are you bored yet? I think that is it for now so enjoy some pictures!
Hannah and Sophia, of course Sophia has spit up on her onsie!

Mother's Day Out

Since Olivia missed the cut off date to start preschool this year, she is attending Mother's Day out. Very similar to preschool, just not as structured. Her first day was Wednesday and she was so excited! She went right into her classroom and I thought that was easy....until I started down the hall where she quickly caught up with me. She was sad for a minute, but then her teacher took her and she had a great time.

I actually got to snap a few photos before we left!

Such a big girl! Can't believe it!

Of course we had to take out Hello Kitty backpack and lunch bag!

4 Months!

Hannah and Sophia had their four month check this week and are doing so great!

Hannah
13lbs 2oz and 25 inches

Sophia
13lbs 10.5oz and 25 inches

It is so hard to believe that they are four months. I really feel like the first two months were such a blur and I forgot just how tiny they were. Thank goodness for pictures and video! He mentioned starting cereal and then food and I just thought how are we here already! They are watching us eat pretty intently, so this weekend we might give it a go.

They are sleeping great and we have settled into a good nighttime routine. Although it is completely chaotic from about 6:30 to 8:30 with trying to get all three kids bathed, fed and ready for bed, at least now Scott and I have a little down time for us, which we never thought we would have again! Right now we are blessed with some good sleepers. Going down about 7:30 and sleeping anywhere from about 5 to 6am!

They are teething, so that has not been fun, and I am surprised at how early, but definitely working on those bottom teeth, you can feel how swollen they are.

Both girls are also rolling over onto their tummy's and Hannah did it first, with Sophia just a few days behind. Hannah is all over the place and I am nervous when that child figures out how to be mobile!!!!!!

Take one!

Take two!

Take three! There were more, but I gave up!

Scott went back to work this past week so I am officially a SAHM of all three, but we are figuring it out. Olivia starts Mother's Day out in September so that will be great for all of us. As my friend put it, "Long days and short years." So true!

Happy Birthday Olivia!

Today my baby girl turned three!!! How is this possible? She certainly is no longer a baby, but a vibrant, energetic and oh so funny little girl. She keeps us on our toes every second of everyday, but that is our Olivia!

We celebrated with family this weekend and had "special donuts" at her request and then today she went to the zoo, got a Happy Meal and we took her to her first movie, Madagascar 3! She loved it and did great and even danced and clapped during the music!

We love you so much Olivia and can't wait to see what your future holds!

Riding Bullseye in Colorado! Loves horses

Need I say anything about this picture!

Loving on sisters

I see you!

I just have to make a quick post about tonight. I had just finished feeding the girls and Scott and I were each burping a baby. We put them on our laps and they smiled at each other! For the first time they were noticing each other and it was such a sweet moment. They did it for about five minutes and Olivia thought it was so neat too!

In the midst of the chaos and lack of sleep, I sometimes feel like I haven't been able to truly enjoy the girls and every moment like I did with Olivia.  For those few minutes tonight I was reminded how lucky and blessed we are!

3 Months

Today the girls are three months! Seems like a really big deal because it has been so much work, but no doubt fun. We had a rough two weeks awhile back, which I am guessing was due to a growth spurt, but now the girls are back on track and getting up only once at night!

love looking at the fan and kicking.

 Happy 4th of July !
We have successfully transferred them into their crib and the last few nights Scott and I have a had a little time alone without kids by our side. I never thought the day would come.

They are starting to smile all of the time now, which we love and they enjoy watching the ceiling fan and their toys on the bouncy seats. They both have discovered their hands and are always sucking on them and trying to find them. I don't really remember Olivia being so fixated on her hands like Hannah and Sophia are, so that is fun to watch. I really hope they are not starting to teeth already...yikes! I wouldn't say we are in a routine yet, but we are getting closer and having some moments where I think to myself, OK this is a little better.

Olivia really loves her sisters now and always helps with changing of diapers, giving them pacifiers and just giving them lots of hugs and kisses!
